Since Helfer does not submit claims to Medicare or insurance providers, neither type of payment is accepted. To learn about eligibility requirements, we advise you to get in touch with them directly.
You typically have two options if you want to use Medicare or insurance coverage:
Insurance: We firmly advise getting in touch with your insurance provider first. Using your credit card, you can make purchases from our website at helfershop.com, and we’ll have them delivered to your door in about a week. The following information must be submitted to your insurance:
- Our invoice
- Your Doctor’s prescription and diagnosis
- Proof of delivery (packing slip will do)
Medicare: If you are approved, Medicare will reimburse you (Medicare covers 80% of the cost; your supplemental insurance will pay the remaining 20%). We advise you to look for a nearby business that takes Medicare assignment (up front) For possibilities, look through our DME Supply Store Directory. Make sure the Medicare 1490 Form is completed.
It should be noted that before you receive any equipment, your documentation must be completed, submitted, and authorized. Additionally, it’s possible that just a limited selection of equipment will be approved for use by Medicare and insurance, leaving you with little to no choice.
